Weekly Math Assignments March 30th - April 3rd:
Watch daily math lessons below. Follow these steps to solve the problems: First, read the word problem. Next, ask is something being added or taken away from? Then, draw a picture to represent the problem. Finally, write your number sentence. 

Solve the below math problems using the steps above. Text Mrs. Scarlett a picture of you and your work. Mrs. Scarlett will review and post your photos to our Distance Learning photo gallery. All assignments must be submitted by Friday, April 3rd!

1. Brielle had 6 grapes. She gave 3 grapes to D'Asia. How many grapes does Brielle have now?

2. Zavier had 5 erasers in his pencil box. He dropped his pencil box, and 4 erasers fell on the floor. How many erasers are in Zavier's pencil box now? 

3. Lauryn is making a tower with linking cubes. She has 5 purple and 3 orange cubes. How many linking cubes does Lauryn have?

Weekly Reading and Writing Assignments March 30th - April 3rd:

Writing: Read the following CVC words: sag, bed, big, hog, jug. Think of a rhyming word for each word and use it in a sentence. Circle your rhyming word and underline all sight words in each sentence.

Make sure you follow these rules when writing your sentences: 1. Each sentence must begin with an uppercase letter. 2. Each sentence must have a finger space between each word. Each sentence must end with a punctuation. If you do not know how to spell a word, be sure to tap it out!

Reading: Scroll below to Online Resources, click on the link "Lots of Books." First, read the story, "It's Spring!" Next, draw a picture of your favorite season. Then, tell a story about your favorite season.
Sentence Starter: The season I like best is _________. (Your next sentence should tell why?)
