Welcome to

Principal Davis' Page

Principal Davis and son, Daniel at the portrait gallery writing about art.Welcome to my page. Here you will find information me in addition to helpful links and school updates related to distance learning.

As you may know, I have had the privilege of teaching 5th and 6th grade for 11 years before becoming an administrator in DCPS. As both a teacher and administrator, I have been passionate about the need for and use of culturally and contextually relevant texts. That is, teaching that takes into account each child's cultural and contextual particularity.
As an administrator I continue to champion the importance of cultural and contextual relevance. During distance learning, it is my hope to make culturally and contextually texts available to our scholars. I will also post math lessons that explain tricky mathematical concepts. In closing, I look forward to working with and learning from your questions.
