Weekly Math Assignments April 13th - April 17th:

Objectives: I can put together to add and find the unknown to 9 and 10 (Put together parts to find the whole.)

I can show subtraction story problems by breaking off, crossing out and hiding a part. 

Watch daily math online lessons below. Follow these steps to solve the math problems below: First, read the word problem. Next, ask is something being added or taken away from? Then, draw a picture to represent the problem. After that, draw a number bond to show part, part, whole. Finally, write your number sentence. 

1. Marquez read 5 books at school. He read 4 more books at home. How many books has he read?

2. Sophie had 3 hearts and 7 stars. How many shapes did she have in all?

3. There were 9 birds in a nest. One bird flew away. How many birds are left?

When your work is done, text Mrs. Scarlett a picture of you and your work. Mrs. Scarlett will review and post your photo to our Distance Learning photo gallery. All assignments must be submitted by Friday, April 17th!
Weekly Math Online Lessons
Weekly Reading and Writing Assignments April 13th - April 17th:

Reading: Scroll below to Online Resources, click on the link "Lots of Books." Read the story, "Do You Like Bugs?" 

Writing: First, write a sentence about your favorite bug. Next, write another sentence that tells one fun fact about your favorite bug. Then, follow the writing steps below to make sure your sentences are the best! Lastly, draw a picture of your favorite bug. 
Mrs. Scarlett's sentence example: My favorite bug is a caterpillar. Caterpillars grow up and change into butterflies and moths. 

Writing Steps: Make sure you follow these steps when writing your sentences: 1. Each sentence must begin with an uppercase letter. 2. Each sentence must have a finger space between each word. 3. Each sentence must end with a punctuation. 4. Read your sentence again to make sure it makes sense. Remember: If you do not know how to spell a word, tap it out!
 
When you are done, text Mrs. Scarlett a picture of you and your work. Mrs. Scarlett will review and post your photo to our Distance Learning photo gallery. All assignments must be submitted by Friday, April 17th!
