Greetings! My name is Stephen Velez, and I have been teaching in DCPS for 20 wonderful years, the last 13 here at Browne as a Pre-K 3 teacher. I am blessed to work with the dynamic and talented Ms. Brenda Moss!
On this page, you will find links to various resources, as well as information about Virtual Learning. PLEASE visit and use the link for My YouTube channel. Here you will find lessons on alphabet knowledge, letter sounds, counting, shape recognition, science, and drawing, as well as many types of read alouds. I recommend watching at least 30 minutes throughout the day as a supplement to our daily virtual schedule. Please subscribe to the channel, so you will receive notifications when new content goes up (daily)!
Please go to the link at the top of this page for enrollment information for the 2020/2021 School Year and the proper forms needed. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or the main office. Even though this year is going to begin in new and uncharted ways, we will be spending valuable time learning and laughing together. Breakfast and lunch will also be made available, and getting registered and started now will make the transition back into in-person learning that much smoother.

Pacing Recommendation for Distance Learning
Please check back on this page in the coming days for our suggested daily schedule, which will include times for synchronous, live lessons and activities with me and Ms. Moss!
It will be helpful to set up a schedule and routine for the day when you’re learning from home. There’s some suggested times for each your subjects below. Mix in some play, rest, reading, and other things you love to do. And of course, helping around the house is highly recommended too!
